Quality Inspector (FT)

• Perform inspection of work orders by interpreting drawings and verifying job sequences
• The inspection and acceptance of products within goods in delivery and verification of products prior to dispatch
• Perform quality inspection on fabricated parts by interpreting, measuring and verifying mechanical dimensions and tolerances of parts according to engineering drawings and procedures
• Perform first off, in-process and final inspections of parts
• Work with CMM, Faro arm, height gauges, depth gauges, callipers, micrometres and other inspection tools
• Notify Management of detected non-conformances and inspection findings via reports and/or verbal communication
• Generate documentation that details the non-conformances found that require rework or remanufacture
• Prepare FAIR’s/ ISIR’s as and when required and maintain inspection files in line with customer requirements
• Perform tool calibration duties
• Liaison with suppliers on Non-Conformities
• Red labelling and tagging of product suspect items when applicable and removal from shop floor to the quarantine area
• Maintaining company documentation/systems in line with IATF16949:2016.
• Assist with both internal and external audits.
• Ensuring 6S is understood and followed within the inspection area
• Support continuous improvement across the business.

• Sheet metal fabrication industry
• Preparations of FAIRs/ ISIRs
• Using measurement equipment ie.: CMM, Faro/ Hexagon Arm, height gauge, torque, callipers, micrometres, thread gauges etc
• Possess knowledge and working experience of the quality management systems for ISO9001

• Reading engineering drawings
• Attention to detail
• Methodical approach to problem solving,
• Good organisational skills, excellent punctuality, and timekeeping
• Competent at managing own time effectively.
• Ability to demonstrate a positive can-do attitude and work calmly under pressure
• Professional attitude and approach, able to build positive relationships with customers & suppliers
• IT literate –Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook
